"An Evening In Russia"
The Harvard Club of Naples cordially invites you to join us for an Evening in Russia.
Bring out the furs and diamonds! Find that favorite long gown and suit or tuxedo! And prepare to immerse yourself in an "Evening in Russia." Hosted by HCN member Olga Arkhangelskaya (and her daughter, Leeza) at the East West Fine Art Gallery in Naples, this dinner event will bring you the authentic experience of attending a Russian Salon - a highly intricate form of the cultural life of the Russian aristocracy. Much of Russia's 19th century culture is tied to the history of its Salons, which were held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine each participant's taste and knowledge through conversation about artwork, music and literature. This was the time of Alexander Pushkin, Piotr Tachaikovsky, Alexander Ivanov, Ivan Repin, Leo Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoyevksy; each renowed worldwide for their celebration of the spiritual life of mankind. So join us for an evening of Russian artwork, music, food and wine to experience Russia like a native!
