Joshua Kobza is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Burger King Worldwide (NYSE:BKW), one of the world’s largest quick service restaurant franchisors. Founded in 1954, BURGER KING®  is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world. The original HOME OF THE WHOPPER®, the BURGER KING® system operates in over 13,600 locations serving more than 11 million guests daily in 97 countries and territories worldwide. Approximately 100 percent of BURGER KING® restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees, many of them family-owned operations that have been in business for decades.

Mr. Kobza joined Burger King in June 2012 as Director of Investor Relations and built the investor relations function following the Company’s re-listing on the New York Stock Exchange that same year. After leading a successful refinancing of Burger King’s $1.7bn credit facilities in September of 2012, Josh was promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Finance in December 2012. In April of 2013, Mr. Kobza was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and he now serves on the board of directors of the Company’s joint ventures in Brazil and France.

From January 2011 until June 2012, Mr. Kobza, worked at SIP Capital, a São Paulo based private investment firm founded by the current controlling shareholders of Burger King Worldwide, where he evaluated global equity investments across a number of industries and geographies. From July 2008 until December 2010, Mr. Kobza worked in the corporate private equity area of the Blackstone Group in New York City.

Mr. Kobza graduated from Harvard College (’08) where he received an AB with honors in Economics and language certificates in French and Portuguese. He currently resides in Miami, FL and is a native of Naples, FL where he graduated from Barron Collier High School in 2004.

Special Patrons Category

As part of the Annual Meeting and Dinner scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2014, we are offering a Patrons category that would allow members to make a “voluntary” contribution of $200, which would include the cost of two dinners ($110) with the remaining balance of $90 representing a tax deductible contribution to the Harvard Club of Naples Schools & Education Fund, which is used to support the Club’s educational and charitable activities, including scholarships for Collier County undergraduates at Harvard, the summer fellowship and intern programs, and recently approved initiatives to benefit Harvard and the Naples community generally.  For those not attending the dinner, the entire $200 contribution would be tax deductible.  Patrons will have their names listed in the Dinner Program.
