Why Not? - An American Approach to All Things"
Dr. Sobel will offer an American approach to achievement that stems from his experiences as a practicing dentist and professor of dentistry to a chef, innkeeper and author.
Dr. Sobel received his education at New York University and Columbia University in New York City. His degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery, resulted in an illustrious career in dentistry in New York, California and Cambridge, Massachusetts. His teaching experiences were at the University of Southern California Dental School, Los Angeles; Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg, South Africa; Stellenbosch University Dental School in Capetown, South Africa; Garanciere (Sorbonee) Dental School in Paris, France.
At Harvard University Dental School, Dr. Sobel worked in the Operative and Prosthetic Dentistry Departments, was Senior Tutor of the Peabody Society, and Director of Oral Diagnosis. In addition to numerous dental publications, he also continues to write a monthly article for L’Independentaire, one of the foremost French dental journals. In 2012, Dr. Sobel published “Aux-Trois Saisons – An Inn in Burgundy”, a memoir of his experiences creating and running an inn in the French Burgundy wine region, including a collection of the recipes he used as chef at Aux Trois Saisons.
