“Harvard in the Drew Faust Era”
Jack Reardon has served Harvard for nearly a half-century, in areas as diverse as admissions and financial aid, athletics, alumni affairs, and University relations. In 2014, he received a Harvard Medal from the Harvard Alumni Association, an honor recognizing his exceptional service to the University, particularly for his years as HAA executive director from 1990 to 2014.
Jack’s Harvard tenure began not long after he graduated from the College with a bachelor’s degree in government in 1960. He earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1962, and by 1965 he was back in Cambridge as Harvard’s assistant director of admissions and financial aid. In 1990, he assumed the role of the executive director of the Alumni Association, where he oversaw the HAA’s University-wide alumni engagement programs carried out through Alumni Education, Board Services, Club’s and Shared Interest Groups, International Alumni Affairs, and Digital Engagement
Jack stepped down as HAA executive director in 2014 and now serves as senior advisor of alumni affairs and development. In this role, he continues to advise President Faust and work with the Board of Overseers, serves on the Ivy League Policy Committee, and engages in fundraising.
