Harvard Club Update - March 2025

A Season of Unforgettable Moments

What a remarkable start to the year! Our calendar has been packed with memorable events that brought us closer as a community.

All-Ivy Welcome Back Event: We kicked off the season with style, welcoming over 100 alumni for a scenic boat ride on the Gordon River. Fantastic cuisine and lively conversation set the tone for the exciting months ahead.

Harvard-Yale Game Watch Party: A great turnout of 55 alumni gathered to cheer on their respective teams!

All Ivy Happy Hour: Alumni from all schools enjoyed an All-Ivy Happy Hour in downtown Bonita Springs — a fantastic evening of camaraderie and fun.

Din & Tonics Performance: The highlight of the season, where 250 guests enjoyed an unforgettable night with cocktails, light bites, and stellar entertainment from Harvard’s very own a cappella group.

Additional Activities: In addition to these signature events, we’ve enjoyed engaging speakers, Broadway shows, private zoo tours, art exhibitions, and exclusive theater experiences. And the fun is far from over, with more events coming soon!

Upcoming AI Event: Don’t Miss Out!

We’re thrilled to announce our AI event on March 24th, already generating tremendous interest. With 140 attendees signed up, it promises to be an insightful and thought-provoking evening. If you haven’t secured your spot yet, we highly encourage you to join us!

Commitment to Education & Community Impact

Our dedication to supporting education and making a difference in our local community remains a priority. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:

  • Harvard Admissions Interviews: We’ve interviewed exceptional students for Harvard admissions.
  • Scholarships: We continue to award scholarships to high-achieving students with financial need in Lee and Collier counties.
  • Local High School Partnerships: We work closely with high schools to encourage guidance counselors to direct their best students toward applying to Harvard.
  • Harvard Book Award: This prestigious award recognizes outstanding high school juniors for their academic excellence and leadership potential.
  • Internships at Nonprofits: We sponsor internships for local Harvard students at nonprofit organizations, empowering them to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Investing in Nonprofit Leadership

Our commitment to fostering leadership in the nonprofit sector continues to grow. Since 2016, we've sponsored 22 nonprofit CEOs to attend Harvard's Executive Education programs. These leaders gain access to transformative leadership development, strategic networks, and cutting-edge knowledge to bring back to their organizations. This year, we are proud to sponsor six additional CEOs, with three scholarships funded by the Club and three through their organizations. These leaders will be better equipped to drive positive change, and we are honored to support them in their journey.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited about the year ahead and hope to see you at our upcoming events. Stay tuned for more details, and thank you for your continued involvement in the Harvard Club of Naples.

Warm regards,

Peggy Lamb
